Data-cleaning:
A total of 179 respondents clicked on the survey link and opened the survey. Of these, 48 were excluded based on the following criteria ,applied in the specified order, leaving 131 valid survey responses (n = number excluded):

i) Had not provided an answer to the question "In the coming decade (2021– 2030), would you consider cultivating or increase the cultivation of the following options on your agricultural
land?: hybrid aspen/poplar?" (n=25)
ii) Did not report that their farm included any of the following: arable land, pasture land, or forest land (n=14).
iii) Have only stated that their farm consists of forest land(n=7)
iv) Have indicated that they have agricultural land that was not included in any subsidy application during the year 2020 (question 23), but did NOT indicate what function that specific land fulfills (question 25) (n=1)
v) Have indicated that they have agricultural land that was not included in any subsidy application during the year 2020 (question 23, but did NOT indicate whether they would consider planting hybrid aspen/poplar on it (question 27) (n=1)

Encoding: two rows in the dataset contained personal information (name/e-mail) entered in the free-text field. This information was removed and replaced with the placeholder [SIGNATURE]
